Friendly greeting And delicious food brought out fast One of my new favorites To put on the list for lunch
Solid food and great pancakes. They're better than all other brunch places including Bills cafe. The place does feel timey and old which could use a remodeling. I got the triple decker turkey back on sandwich and brocolli cheddar soup which was good. I've had the soups previously and they've all been great and doesn't quite feel like it came from a bag which they often do.
There are several Country Inn restaurants across the South Bay. While I think they are independently owned, the menu and food quality seems pretty consistent between locations. Fairly standard diner breakfast and lunch options here. Service was quick and attentive, even on a Saturday morning. I appreciated that they were willing to split a kids entree onto two plates for our young kids to share. I'd skip the biscuits and gravy at this location next time. Compared to the Almaden location, the biscuits were thicker (which is fine) but also served with less gravy, so it was too dry for my liking.
This place is ideal for us on the weekends. While everyone is waiting in IHOP or Denny's for breakfast this place sits your family quick. The longest I've waited is 15-20min on a weekend at 9am. Not bad at all! The service is friendly and they serve the food quick. I e tried the TBone and eggs, pancakes and various omelettes. All tasty! They serve Micheladas and mimosas. Yum!
Excellent breakfast and lunch. Nice bar, especially on sports days. Very good chile verde and eggs, Benedict's, steak sandwich, steak salad, and more. There are regular specials and I have never been disappointed when trying something new. There are several holders restaurants, and I actually like them all. The staff does a great job and it's always smiles and high-fives when we walk in.
Had the country fried steak and upgraded the toast/pancake that it comes with to a waffle for an extra $1. My hubbie and I shared the meal and they split it on separate plates for us without us even asking. The course fried steak was so yummy! Love the peppery flavor. I'll ask for a smidge more gravy next time. The waffle was perfectly crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside. All of the employees we interacted with were so sweet! I saw some reviews mention how it's older inside, but I personally love when breakfast joints have that classic breakfast joint feel. It's so homey and feels like a warm hug! Can't wait to come back and try more breakfast items.
This place is underrated! I know people tend to visit breakfast spots that are more "Instaworthy" but I don't have time for that as a new mom. I used to wait 60-90 mins for breakfast spots but never doing that again. The food here is just as good or even better than the places with a more modern vibe. The interior of this place is more home-y. I recommend this place if you want to have breakfast or brunch on a weekend with no wait! Sometimes we just want to get on with our day :)
